How often do I need to charge the battery?

Battery life depends on location traffic, frequency of alerts and WiFi signal strength. In a typical environment, batteries last 2-3 months. The Zeptive App provides a live battery status and sends "Low Battery" alerts to your facility manager so you never miss a moment of coverage.

 

Will this slow down our WiFi?

No. The device uses negligible bandwidth. It "sleeps" and only transmits data when an event is detected or during a scheduled heartbeat check-in, ensuring your network remains fast for educational tools.

 

Is it difficult to install?

It is designed to be the easiest and fastest way to start detecting. Simply mount the backplate to the ceiling (drywall, concrete, or drop tile) using the included hardware and slide the device on. No external wiring is required.
